Post: Part 2: Cracking The Code: Mental Health VS. Fever, Fracture, Loose Motion—Know Your Signs!

I believe that everyone is doing great at surviving in this fast-paced world. With that belief, let’s continue establishing the common traits of disturbed mental health and conclude what measures can be taken to take control of our mental health and overall wellness.

Starting from where we left last time.

  1. Let’s talk about “I’ll do this later: The idea of planning out things that are to be done is extremely vital for us to succeed and achieve what we want. In our day-to-day lives, we often use priorities to define what is to be done when, isn’t it? And if we achieve things as planned, then we are at our best possible point of planning, but if it is a mechanism to just make things a part of “I’ll do this later,” then we need to discuss it in detail. Let’s understand this.
  2. Let’s talk about how we are around ourselves and people: The idea of being satisfied with ourselves and being able to be well with people is the most important sign of our mental health. If you enjoy your company and are also around people who are doing great, let us know how you do it 🙂. But if it is a challenge, let’s talk about it.
  3. Let’s talk about “Strange Thoughts and High-Risk Behavior”: Thoughts of being a one-of-a-kind person, being a human with super powers, people are out to always catch them, if I don’t sleep, I can get more things done to be ahead, and so forth. High-risk behaviors like rash driving, being fine with accidents and losses, substance abuse, frequent unprotected sex with random people, trying to end life, and so forth. Let’s understand this ahead.

With this, we conclude on a few things that are very important in identifying and knowing the point when one should venture out for help. We shall put this in the context of our daily routine.

Observations everyone should have:

  1. Am I waking up fresh and sleeping comfortably as a routine?
  2. Am I constant in my thoughts and behavior with adaptability?
  3. Am I able to eat all my favorite foods and stay healthy?
  4. Am I having frequent or unexpected emotional outbursts?
  5. Am I in a pattern of “I’ll do it later”?
  6. Am I disturbing myself and people around me in any way, constantly?
  7. Am I having constant “strange thoughts and high risk behavior”?

Everyone is in the same boat; the only difference is conscious awareness of these changes, acceptance of them, and the ability to act upon them with the necessary steps.

It is difficult, but we aim to facilitate this difficult journey and walk, run, and fly with you towards being aware of our mental health and making it better every day.

With the belief that we all need help, we are all a help to someone in need, and someone is a help to us when in need. We leave you with the thought of seeking and being helped not only with Declutter but otherwise too. Declutter will try to amplify mental health in India in any and every possible way!

Sleep well & Wake up fresh. Let the thoughts fluctuate. Eat your favorite meals. Talk about your emotions regularly to avoid outbursts; change “I’ll do it later” to “It’s done; what’s next?”. Stay happy with yourself and spread that. Enjoy strange thoughts momentarily and reduce high risk behavior.

It’s been months since I joined the group. I came to know about the group through an insta post.

I immediately felt that this is the kind of platform I have been always looking for.

Where we can share our fears, confusions, mental and emotional blockage, thoughts etc without being judged and at the same time gain friendships and a community to blend with.

Something which we cannot get in the office of a psychologist. Though they are valuable in terms of medication, but having a support system is an entirely different thing.

Having a wonderful time with chit-chat and food, while dealing with the most serious issues with ourselves.

Helping to create a life graph on a sheet of paper and helping us realise how we have dealt with our ups and downs.

This exercise, made me remember my strengths and ability to take life as it comes and be the winner in my own terms.

The activities carried out are very good for bonding with other members, where we actually find friends as well.

It’s amazing support group where we can vent out on a one on one interaction depending who is available to listen. Something never seen in any other support group.
